I must admit, I'm not quite seeing the similarities here. :((

Well, DUH, it's because flobberworms are big. Also, flobberworms like lettuce, and I think it's canon that Hagrid should eat more salad.

I thought that flobberworms were really really small. And squirmy. And gross. And Hagrid doesn't seem squirmy, and he prefers rock cakes to lettuce.

Oh, darn, you're right. STUPID FANDOM RUINING THINGS.

But I meant, Hagrid is clearly unhealthy from his lack of salad. He eats so many rock cakes that his head is as thick as rock when it comes to dangerous animals.

I agree, Hagrid should eat more lettuce.

And maybe he has a bit of flobberworm in his blood, who knows? If Draco can be part-Veela, Hagrid might as well be part-flobberworm.

I think flobberworms would be more afraid of predators, though. Maybe he's a genetically mutated flobberworm who's fucked in the head. Would explain the large size and humanoid structure.

Possibly Hagrid is a flobberworm Animagus. The protagonists thought that he started having all the lessons on Flobberworms because he was worried that more students could be hurt after the Hippogriff incident, but in fact he was having financial troubles after the Malfoy family sued him, couldn't afford food, and so he used his Flobberworm form so that the students would unknowingly feed him lettuce.

Also, Harry protests about Draco's story that Crabbe was bitten by a Flobberworm because 'they don't even have teeth!'. It is canonical that Hagrid's rock cakes are hard enough to break one's teeth, so Hagrid having no or very few teeth seems fairly likely. COINCIDENCE?
